Set for Converting Printed Material into Electronic Format
Huge archives of printed data, whether it is books or documents, significantly complicate the process of finding the needed information and occupy too much place. However the main problem is lack of ability to conduct quick and high-quality search in this data.
The described system solves this problem. It’s a complex system, consisting of a book scanner, ABBYY Recognition Server scanned document recognition system, and SearchInform Search Server. These three components are connected to the management set, which ensures their interaction with each other automatically. That way the scanned data becomes available for quick and high-quality full text search practically right after it has been scanned.
The offered solution helps to resolve the major problems, appearing in the process of digitalization of the printed material. It brings the following improvements:
