SearchInform Revs Full Text Search

SearchInform Technologies Inc introduced a new version of its eponymous full text search and search for documents with similar content.

The firm said new functions include new auto searching servers, so that work with previously created indexes stored on the local network should be significantly less complicated. Now when you want to add a new index, SearchInform will automatically scan the network and show all existing indexes available for connection.

The company also enhanced SearchInform's network performance and upgraded the analysis function.

There is also phrase search with due consideration to stemming and thesaurus, doubled indexing speed (from 15 to 30Gb/hour), a query caching system and support for over 60 popular text formats, Outlook & TheBat electronic messages, MP3 & .avi tags, and logs of MSN and ICQ instant messaging programs.
